The NetPC is languishing due to lack of customer interest. There
appears to be strong evidence however that customer interest in
multiuserNT is very high. Take a look at the blowout quarter that
Citrix just reported. Additionally, I believe that Microsoft views
Hydra as a key component in their effort to defend Windows
dominance on the desktop against Java. If it effectively addresses
TCO concerns (and I believe it will), then there is less impetus for
customers to consider Java.

Also remember that WinFrame 2.0 which Hydra is based on, was very far
along before Microsoft made its decision to offer multiuser
capability.
