It was kind of 11th hour- if I recall, I got it after I'd voted. But I think it was in response to the fact that the Yes on 8 folks sneakily (and imo despicably) used Obama in their robo call without his permission. I'm sure he felt he had to then make the one for No on Prop 9, because (thankfully) Obama isn't in to institutionalizing bigotry- whether generated by religious need, or otherwise- and that is what I expect of a president, so it's nice to finally have one that won't do that.
