Steve, it's not just the liberal mindset, but the political mindset as well. Senor Villaraigosa was obviously chosen because he's of strategic importance to the Democrats and their bid to keep the Latino vote. But why the "economic advisory panel"? It's not like he has a record of any economic revival in L.A. Just big dreams of urban renewal, which isn't bad in itself but I'd prefer Buffet or even Cramer the Blowhard over Villaraigosa.
