It's not "my" grouping and it's not a reflection of what I think is "weird". It's the various sexual behaviors God asked mankind to refrain from. It is your grouping. Of all the behaviors that God allegedly specified, you picked only the sexual ones. Hence my questioning your grouping. With fornication and homosexuality among consenting adults, perhaps there IS a victim(s). The participants themselves. Consent is a very basic notion in our system. An adult person of sound mind who enters into an agreement is not considered a victim. Our system of laws affords that basic respect to citizens even when we think a person is mistaken in his choice. Otherwise it is a denial of liberty. Free people are free to make mistakes. So I don't think your protection-from-oneself frame for this issue is any more justifiable than framing it in terms of what you personally approve or disapprove. Re "understanding," do you at least understand even if you don't prefer the "equal treatment under law" frame or the "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness " frame? What do you see as wrong with those frames?
