I would think you would be more shocked that I have listened to her. Actually, I like hearing people get yelled at for stupid behavior in general. I did NOT like her my way or you're wrong approach. I am delighted that people find comfort and joy in religion, if it guides them to make decisions for themselves that are good ones. But decisions can be made, and often similar ones, on bases other than God's word, e.g., stable relationships because they are the best environment for children, or no adultery because it violates a trust and a contract and hurts too many people. I prefer a logical approach rather than a command.
