It will be interesting to see how the Palin story continues. IT was a terrible decision by McCain and by her to enter national politics when and as she did.
She will have to remake a lot of her image.

She should be careful of aligning with Dobson. The middle will not return to the party on that platform.

Also, if she writes a book, it should be hers, not ghostwritten, although a good editor can create the appearance of quality writing. Still, if she can organize her thoughts and reasoning coherently and offer some solid ability to actually think and not spurt talking points, that would be nice.

And get rid of the Valley Girl thing. We need a little more gravitas than what we heard on the giggly Sarkozy tape.

THe author is so right about the KIND of exposure... Obama burst onto the scene with a brilliant speech at the 04 convention, then stayed low for a bit, gathering what creds he could- and I believe studying very hard. This on top of a life marked by high achievement academically.

The problem with this Playbook is that it's really about remaking her image. It takes more than using your passport; it should involved studying the history and cultures of other countries. Her education had been limited. They say study really, really hard, but one thing that always bothered me about Palin is that she never had done this before on her own initiative. She wasn't interested in these things.

Anyway, fascinating sideshow.
