I do approve of Medicaid for eye care and dental care. For a variety of reasons.

I, too, can think of reasons for insurance providing eye and dental care. But I think the question is the oddity of Medicaid providing more than middle class health plans typically cover. I'm sure you would like to see dental and vision coverage for everyone. But given that that doesn't exist now, does your "variety of reasons" include a basis for the disparity?
