Health care should be taken off the books, so to speak.

Abolish Medicare. Create a national sales tax or some other vehicle that provides enough revenue to do cover everyone to some degree. Employers will be delighted to be out of the health insurance business, the elderly will be taken care of and individuals will not be on the short end of the stick. In the end our total national costs will be the same or less.

I doubt that will happen in my lifetime, though...



Same with healthcare. If we have to spend a trillion to fix healthcare, which is probably correct, I will not complain because without a fix to healthcare, we will owe 32 TRILLION by the time I retire. There is no choice. It has to be done.
