<I am against the pensions that are bloated...............> Bloated??? I have family in PENN and OHIO and everyone of them and every one they know either LOST THEIRS or were scaled back substantially. My father in laws check comes and I get to open it... ummmm, lady... there's not freakin bloated pensions. You've been watching too much CNBC or Neil Cavuto or something. I was on Wall Street in the 80's... there were MANY MANY pension plans LOOTED during takeovers ON PURPOSE. They said they were OVERFUNDED and regulators really don't understand these things and let it slide... sound familiar (FNM)? <we all should be planning for retirement.>> Well, I agree with that... it's clear that companies were unable to plan for workers retirement. <Our city clerk here in a 50k city in Ca makes 175k a year......................she'll get something like 85% of that with benefits when she retires..................that's nuts!><Our fire and police chiefs make 300k to 400k a year and they'll get the same deal.................it's all insane!
