This is not what the TARP was to be used for. Furthermore, this is not what was passed by our illustrious members of Congress. Let's call a spade a spade. GM should not have access to TARP. If they need bailing out a la Chrysler the last time the automakers were in trouble, have the government bail them out, takeover, and cut all the union wages down to where GM can compete with the rest of the planet. Otherwise this is all money down a rathole eventually ending up in the autoworker's union dues. GM is not survivable without EVERYBODY getting a cut in pay, big time.

The alternative is: EVERY SUNDAY, stop going to church, instead : 1. if you're able to, go to wallstreet, the stock exchanges,.. or wherever/whatever those places are: kneel down, pray, beg for mercy, forgiveness of your stupidity, just like you would do in church. 2. if you're not able to do as in 1)., face that direction where wallstreet, the stock exchanges,.. or wherever/whatever those places are, do similarily, kneel down, pray, beg for mercy, forgiveness of your stupidity, just like you would do in church. Obama should lead by example, start with the inauguration at NYSE (not the whitehouse), begging for mercy for the people. Make sure his whole family and the dog(s) to be adopted, the senators, congressPERSON go there as well.
