Dear Ibexx....it should not bother you how many shares/puts I own or whether I own any for that matter. The game is to predict the direction of this stock short term. Long term, we all know how strong MSFT is and that it will continue to do well.

Only problem today is that the small investor(including yourself) has gobbled up too much of this stock, driven the price to the sky and left very little for future investors to benefit from. In other words, you can not hold this stock at these levels forever..so what will you do....sell and that in itself is going to create a panic and drive this stock down to guess what ? .......... $115 - $120.

Better exit the door before the herd follows. That door is mighty small.
V.K

>You work awfully hard for your 1 put--or is it one share?

>There has to be a better way to make a buck.

You've shown the intelligence to be able to post very helpful info, so why the snide comments? IMO you do yourself and the other threaders a disservice.

You are probably asking yourself, where did this guy come from? No, I don't post much, simply because I have little or nothing to contribute. I am very long on MSFT for a very long time. I do value all opinions. I may not agree with them, but responding with a snide remark is not helpful either.

Cheers, Bob

Compaq testimony says Microsoft threatened it

WASHINGTON, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Microsoft (MSFT) threatened to cut off Compaq (CPQ) Computer's access to crucial software
because Compaq wanted to highlight an Internet Web browser from competitor Netscape (NSCP), U.S. government documents
showed on Wednesday.

Compaq's director of softare procurement, Stephen Decker, said in testimony to the Justice Department that if Compaq chose a
Netscape icon over a Microsoft icon on its desktop computer screen, then Microsoft ''would terminate our (Windows 95) agreement
for doing so.''

Decker's testimony, taken on Oct. 17, was revealed after Justice Department charges that Microsoft illegally forced computer
manufacturers -- who need its Windows operating system -- to use a Microsoft Web browser instead of a Netscape Web browser.

Compaq was first identified as the company involved by CNN's financial network. Decker's testimony was compelled by a
government civil investigative demand, the equivalent of a subpoena in antitrust cases.

''We had a relationship with Netscape and we had been shipping their product for a while,'' Decker said in his testimony.
''Netscape was actually the browser partner and we wanted to give that position on the Compaq Presario desktop.''

But Decker said his company backed down in the face of the threat: ''We put the (Microsoft) icon back on.''
