Thanks David!!! You just saved me tremendous amount of time so I don't have to respond to this outrageous misunderstanding of the whole concept. The only thing I can add is this:

amazon.com

Good luck to all.

In truth, you really do not understand the fundamental concepts of reuse in C++ or COM and you never developed anything significant in either. It's just such people which Microsoft needs to mask the almost total lack of extensibility of COM (go ask somebody to explain how that differs from reuse) and perhaps it would behoove you to look at the original goals of exposing interfaces and the many hacks which were shoe-horned on later to emulate first class objects. David, you have proven to me on countless occassions that you have no grasp of these matters and your continued personal bashing is typical of those with nothing concrete to support their argument. I suggest you use a little reason before you shoot your mouth off since you have said nothing of value regarding COM. Ask somebody to explain to you how one derives an ActiveX control from another, how one passes structures or objects using COM, the limitations of dispatch interface types, et cetera. I have probably averaged 60 hours a week for the last three months working with this technology, I don't need some armchair DOS hack regurgitating Microsoft's B.S.
