RE: "Americans are soft, lazy, and obedient."

The human animal is the most dangerous on the planet for exactly that reason. Most days, he appears about as dangerous as a cow munching grass in a field. That's the mistake standing armies always make. You would be hard pressed to find any example in history where a standing army has ever beaten militia. England couldn't beat militia in the American Revolution. The US couldn't beat militia in Vietnam or Iraq. Alexander and the Kahn couldn't do it.

The reason is that under certain circumstances, the human animal turns feral. The only way to stop a feral human is to kill him. Otherwise he will not stop fighting until he wins. He is the only predator on earth that will intentionally stalk predators larger than himself. He is patient, crafty, relentless and terrible.

Don't kid yourself about the apparent docility of any human population. You annoy them to your certain demise. It's far safer to make friends with them when they're in cow mode and trade with them in good faith.

>>There is also a strong gun culture, and in rural areas, still some hunting culture.<<

Huge demand for guns and ammo here since Obama won. Dudes are picking up assault rifles, high capacity clips, and ammo by the case. Foreign invaders beware...
