We should be grateful that so many people sized the moment. First Ted and Caoline Kennedy. That shored up the Hispanic vote. Hispanics follow three great men: bobby Kennedy, Jack Kennedy and Ceasar Chavez. If Ted and Caroline put their stamp of approval it is easy for Hispanics to vote for Obama. Colin Powell. Perfect timing and done with grace. Lots of heros out there. Obama inspired them. Like Bobby inspired people.

Now, this does not explain to Joe, who suggested his taxes would be raised by Obams's plans, just how his taxes going up is good for Joe (isn't he one of Obama's "everybody?"), who wanted to get his Master's License and go out on his own, and have his own crew of a few guys perhaps (and this, for a plumber, could in fact easily gross over $250,000, by the by). Obama may not want to punish Joe's success, but for all the answer we got from Obama, he would if he implements his plan. Then, it came to be assumed that Joe can't make 250,000 since he doesn't have his own business nor his Masters license yet. So Obama I do believe wound up saying that his plan would actually help Joe. Joes reply: Basically that we've had a progressive tax system for a long time, and so be it, but he doesn't want money from the folks who already pay high rates, or from anyone, taken away from them and given to him. He calls that "theft." Ahhh, well. At any rate, how raising taxes on the business owners doesn't "punish" their chance for success, is not explained. Nor can it be, IMHO. That's just socialism. After all, Obama's likely other option he wants to do involves...guess what? Socialism, indeed. Dan B.
