The US government doesn't build highways. At least not yet anyway. Private enterprise does with private capital. The taxpayer pays for them.

All levels of government build highways... municipal, county, state and federal. And it's paid for through taxes. A "collective action for the common good". Socialism in action; everyday, everywhere.

"Please"- those are simply examples of semantics. Gimme a break. In fact that whole line of discussion had more to do with idiological interface with Economics. NONE of that stuff is relevant to DEMS or REPUBS in today's world... when the Libertarians get up to 20% of the vote, then come back with that crap.

More likely the Greens will get there first though... maybe in another lifetime?

If the gov't is paying for the highways, then its public capital, not private.
