I gave examples from four states of Christian individuals and organizations being punished for refusing to violate their religions values. People here on this thread enthusiastic voiced approval of that. Ironically, your attempts at arguments are better described as hysterical hyperbole. Would you allow a cop to refuse to go to the aid of someone who is gay because said cop is a homophobic bone head? No, there's no religious stricture that would require him to do that. Furthermore, that is an emergency situation, unlike sex change operations, in vitro fertilizations, abortions, and providing photographic services and facilities to a gay wedding.Would you allow a restaurant in the city to refuse service to women who have had abortions, gay people .. No, but I wouldn't require doctors to perform abortions, sex change operations etc. Nothing about serving a meal to someone involves doing something immoral in someone's religion. The same thing I sapharmacists who dispense birth control pills? A pharmacist who didn't want to do that or dispense an abortion pill, could get another pharmacist to do it. In the case of the abortion pill, that is commonly done. Although you and your fellow liberals here would want to push those pharmacists out of business. I don't think birth control pills per se are a problem for any pharmacists. But abortion pills are, so I'll pretend your example involves abortion pills. If someone does not want to dispense birth control pills then they shouldn't be a pharmacist. I suppose, in the worst case, they could have someone else in the pharmacy do it for them. Thats common in the case of abortion pills. As a purely practical matter, why would someone who is having an abortion want a doctor with these views anywhere near them in the first place? I don't know, but a lesbian sued a doctor for referring her to another doctor to provide in vitro fertilization services. And won thanks to the extremist CA Supreme Court. The service was provided by the other doctor, though it didn't work. I think its clear the suit was a nuisance suit intended to punish the doctor for her religious views. Are you saying that someone with your religious views would watch the mother die because he/she didn't believe in abortion for any reason? No. Hardly any abortions are done in order to save a woman's life. And I'm confidant most doctors would certainly perform an abortion in that rare case. That's your religion? Egads. No, its a strawman you created."you know that would force religious people out of the medical profession and thats what you want" I don't want hysterical nincompoops in the medical profession And you consider religious people to all be hysterical nincompoops. And you want them out of the medical profession because of your bigoted attitude. if you are a Christian Scientist, should the medical profession try and figure out how to employ you? It would be a violation of a Christian Scientists faith to be in the medical profession, I think. You keep skirting the issues because you have no answer. I haven't skirted any issues. Your arguments are nothing but a tantrum. No, I provide real life examples to prove what I say. Heck, I can even cite the attitudes you and your fellow liberals express here in support of my claims. You want the entire world to kowtow to YOUR beliefs On the contrary. I'm not demanding radical secularists like yourself leave the medical profession as you have done for religous people.
