Oh John, give me a break.

Out of all of the VC investments in this go round, the electric car startups are faring THE BEST. Not just Tesla but Fisker, all of them. The series with the electric car companies in there are the ones that all the private money wants. It doesn't mean these companies Fisker Tesla etc will succeed, but at this moment the future looks bright for them.

I don't know why some people like you just hate to see progress of any kind. Theres a whole constituency of people like that in the world, I think a lot of them have been running the country for the past 8 years, fortunately those are gone. Those people don't believe in global warming, maybe you don't either but a lot of people do and thats what drives electric vehicles as much as gas prices. Having Bush as a president these past 8 years makes people think the whole world is backward and doesn't give a sh!t, I think anyway.

PS - As for Tesla, they started with what is essentially a Lotus and threw their electric drivetrain into it for 110K. They are having trouble getting financing now, and are being kept afloat thru Elon Musk's millions. Their days are numbered IMO unless someone thinks their tech is worth buying...
