Zeus, these people 'waxing poetic' about plug in hybrids seem to discount the economics, and have no clue about what it costs to actually develop a new car.

thats typical MO of every startup. Its meaningless. Every startup is within 6 mos of running out of cash.

Tesla is CASH FLOW POSITIVE. The only thing they need the cash for is to startup that mid level line, but in a recession you don't want to start that anyway.

But anyway, I am not a bug Tesla fan, because I think they are like Nanosolar, one of these "hot new things" startups and those rarely pan out. Fisker might be the winner in the end with their lower key and partnerships with detroit mfg. But Tesla has done a lot of things right and to characterize them as some sort of failure is ridiculous.
