>> Ironic, isn't it, that the "intellectual" Obama won the youth vote?

I've had people raise this point with me numerous times -- what do all those smart people know that we don't?

A person can be educated without understanding the ways of the political world -- that is something you tend to accumulate over time or by a lot of hard study that doesn't happen in the course of getting an MBA or PhD.

There is a lot to be learned from those who have witnessed history for 70 or 80 years.

Mr. Bush is smart in the sense of remembering facts and faces, yet I can’t think of anybody I’ve ever interviewed who appeared so uninterested in ideas.

Palin is like Bush in this regard. Its why I am opposed to her.
