This country is nuts, drugs should be legal and let adults have the freedom to kill themselves if they like. Ever been to Europe? You go to a doctor for a diagnoses, then You go to a pharmacy for drugs. No prescriptions needed. Everybody in this country is treated like a five year old, don`t you ever get tied of a nanny state?

Lizzie anybody who flies to Mexico for oxycontin is a serious addict.

Sheesh man. I don't fly to mexico for oxycontin. I am in san diego anyway, and need things that happen to be 1/10 the cost and no hassle in Mexico. For example Synthroid, I take it (guess I'm an addict). I can go to mexico and buy 8 bottles of synthroid. Or, I can use my crappy catastrophic care medical plan and go up to UCSF every other year and do a $600 trifeca of doctor, blood test, doctor just to get a prescription that I have taken for 15 years. I understand this is "preventative care" but lets be reasonable here. Why does somebody need to pay $600 to get something that is OVER THE COUNTER everywhere else in the world.

The reaction on this thread regarding me buying pain killers is what is wrong with the system. I don't need a nanny state. I don't need somebody taking a blood test every 2 years and 2 doctors appts for a maintenance drug like Synthroid. If I am incorrectly dosed, I know it immediately. Synthroid and the like should be OTC like it is everywhere else in the world.
