And I guess averages might be ok- but I'd want that to be studied before it was put in to place. I hate it when they just throw something untested at us, and see if it sticks to the wall. I'm certainly no expert on statistics, but it wouldnt be particularly hard to go back through the numbers using 3 year averages to check whether differences were statistically significant. You wouldnt need to test this as a new school reform as you already have the data. I'm curious about your thoughts on the other half of the equation....getting rid of ineffective teachers. Slacker
