It seems to me that under Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II our National Debt went up dramatically, under Clinton the debt was coming down, we had a surplus at the end of his 8 years. So who is the Liberal, who are the Conservatives.

I believe the truth is, Presidents do what's right as they see it for the country, while I totally disagreed with Bush, I don't doubt he thought what he did was right. Sadly I believe history will not only rank him worst, but it will be clear just how much he trampled all over the Constitution, and while I doubt he'll be prosecuted, I suspect that over time much of the Patriot Act and other things done by his Administration will be overturned. Please don't get me wrong, they may have been needed after 9-11, but there was a Constitutional manner in which they could be done, Bush choose not to use it.

If there's any lesson to be learned from the Bush Administration it's that Intelligence requires more than all of the finest electronic means of survaillance, it still requires spies on the ground. Of course there was all kinds of information that counterdicted what Bush told Congress and the American people on Iraq, it either wasn't told to Congress, or it was downplayed, like the U.N. Inspectors who without being spy's were on the ground.

Re: "Because you seem to have little curiosity about other people's ideas and opinions."

Oh, so THAT'S why you won't tell how "extreme your dogma (your words)" is. Odd that you should say that when obviously I've been here to read and respond to other opinions. Perhaps you think I ought to operate here as if I had no opinion, as you seem to have decided to do (aside from applying the apparently ad hominem label "extreme dogma" to simple truths).
