I'm pretty sure McCain would have closed down Gitmo pretty quick too.

It's not like they're just gonna let everybody go. They'll be transferred to the U.S. prison system.

Abu Ghraib and Gitmo were handled so horribly that they will stain U.S. credibility for decades to come.
