Perhaps we need to rethink mixing everyone together in the same class. There are certain racial sensitivities to "tracking" but it seems like you are trying to merge Mozart and a thrash band in the same venue. People can differ on which is "better" but few people think you could pull it off on the same stage. In my job we gave up on "One size fits all" - there are a number of things in system validation that determine what path you take. One path for life support another path for showing your calculation program is functioning. There are some similarities between the tasks, but other than that, they involve a different levels of hands-on-ness and criticality.
