I like that saying:) I would just shut them down. Of course they would just nationalize the plants and refire them I suppose. Of course they are nationalizing everything else, why not. I picked spring of 2009 some years back in a pool guessing when GM would declare bankruptcy. I would likely be right but I think there is a move afoot to nationalize them also. Brilliant. If they don't go BR then then they are still saddled with all of those pensions and health care which is the anchor around there neck. Any money spent there might just as well be used for a camp fire starter IMO.
