I find they are usually civil, intelligent, decent and add a lot to the conversation. And I respect all the moderates I have run into here and realize the left does go too far sometimes. On the other hand, the moderates often do not go far enough sometimes e.g realizing the pure evilness and stupidity of the neo cons, or as Krugman characterized them recently, monsters-lol. In which case it often takes a liberal to recognize them and react accordingly. Myself, I am an unabashed liberal.
