Al, > Which liberal programs do you have a problem with?

Biggest problem I have is having to pay so damn much for current retirees. That includes Social Security and all of the generous benefits paid at the state level. If there are retirees that are poor and destitute, let's pay for them, but not for those who are living comfortably.

I haven't made up my mind yet on universal health care.

Social Security and Medicare make up over half of the $3 trillion federal budget. Major reform there can not only save tons of money, but is also necessary as the worker-to-retiree ratio goes down to 2:1. Of course with the amount of money involved, major reform is going to get THE most pushback from the current beneficiaries.

Which liberal programs do you have a problem with?

There is a new book out recently on FDR's 'New Deal' and how it most likely delayed economic recovery for close to 10 years.
