Its not socialism.....its called a progressive tax plan and its been in place at least since WW II if not longer.

Giving tax refunds to people who don't pay taxes is socialism, and has not been in place as long as you claim.

I know of nobody who has complained about progressive income taxation, other than minor bitching about the rates on this income or that.

The real complaint is with the welfare aspects of EITC, which will spin totally out of control under Obama. Already, a person can receive a $5,000 welfare payment each year under EITC, and Obama wants to expand even that.

All of the billions being pushed into The Gates Foundation cannot be touched by the IRS. Same with all of the income that Buffet gets from muni bonds.

Sure wish a large percentage of my income was considered "untouchable" by the IRS ...
