I simply think letting the financials fail was a risk too far. The question I have is how is saving the financials different from saving the autos. My sense is the financials will recover and we will get paid back, My sense is that at least one of the autos must go. How do we do that in a minimally disruptive manner. My thought is a pre approved bankruptcy is what is necessary. The UAW cannot be provided benefits beyond what is available to the average worker.
