Why are satellite and cable companies such attractive targets for being short at this point? is it from an expectation that the consumer will completely upside down and can't afford them or from systemic problems with the comapany's business model? One would think the consumer would make friends with all the entertainment channels when they are laid off and jobs are hard to come by :-)

Going to a restaurant or a hotel doesn't necessarily mean "spending heavily". The level of luxury that we have right now, is immense - and many are converting much bigger expenses to expenses in travel, restaurants and similar.
