I know the history of the Middle East very well and invading Iraq was a senseless and expensive act that has set back American/Muslim relations by decades. This statement is nonsense on both points. To suggest that "American/Muslim" relations have been set back is utterly stupid. As short-memory liberals are prone to doing, you've apparently forgotten where "American/Muslim" relations were on 9/12. If you think it was "senseless" to free a nation of 25 million people who hated Americans, saving lives in the process, creating a democracy in the heart of the Middle East, then you know absolutely shit about the subject. Once we are out of Iraq, if the withdrawal is not handled foolishly by the incoming administration, we will be left with an ally in the region and that is priceless.
