Knighty, what do you think about a trade in merck (buy in $26s, sell in $29s)? the dividend is currently over 5% and americans aren't about to give up their obsession with drugs. that coupled with the continuing decline in american health, i think the only risk is that obama will somehow nationalize a company like merck and jack shareholders.

what say the thread's investment czar?

---

i just heard a relative is in the hospital with coronary heart disease. a few years back she was an atkins diet fanatic. i think she lost some weight initially, perhaps even a significant amount of weight, but the last time i saw her she was larger than i recall and now her heart is having problems.

acute inflammation hurts, silent inflammation kills.

the atkins diet is quite inflammatory and generates excess cortisol that wreaks havoc over time.
