So.. that's why the Chinese government is spending nearly 25% of it's foreign reserves, because retail sales went up 22%??

Interesting logic... I wonder if it's like when that Chinese Astronaut reported their successful launch BEFORE the rocket had even taken off:

news.sky.com

Or how about that spacewalk:

Yeah.. they fake a spacewalk (Capricorn One?) yet you believe that retail data release just AFTER they pumped all that money into their economy?

Wouldn't that just be plain foolishness? Wouldn't it be downright inflationary in the face of such stellar retail numbers?

You're drinking your own kool-aid..

And TJ.. I put a lot more credibility in John Mauldin's analysis than I would in yours.

And he's directly pointing to emerging market debt as a TREMENDOUS issue for European banks (well over $3 Trillion compared to $500 Billion by US banks):

investorsinsight.com

Spain, alone, as $1 Trillion in exposure to Latin American debt, whereas Italy has its butt hanging out with its loan to Eastern Europe.

The blowup in Iceland is threatening to cost Europe $75 Billion all by itself.

Yeah.. it's truly bad in the US financial system, but when compared to case of financial "pneumonia" in Europe, what's happening on Wall Street is barely a cold.

Do you think none of this will impact China, or the rest of the emerging markets?

Yeah.. sure you do.. Just like you believe Chinese astronauts actually walked in space.
