Al, I'm in the VERY minority view that Detroit makes decent (not great) cars.

I agree but making decent cars loses today. If they keep making decent cars we are wasting our bailout money.

I think Detroit makes decent cars too. The problem is, the Japanese make GREAT cars, that beat even high line brands like Mercedes in reliability. The Koreans are chasing just behind the Japanese.

Until Detroit is in the chase with those dogs, it will stay in trouble.
