>>And the demand for entitlement wears thin after the Kurdistan Regional Government's office in Washington endorsed the most virulent anti-war smears about "Bush's lies," something for which Kurdish representative refuses apology.<<

That caught my eye, because Qubad Talabani will be here in Anchorage this Friday giving a speech to the Alaska World Affairs Council. Does anyone here know what the heck it's all about?

The comments from Camille Paglia about Palin are truly precious, as if Sarah Palin was something other than the GOP's way of letting us know that they did not want to be in power in these troubled times and were instead using the election to throw a bone to the 18th century peasant mentality constituency so beloved by the likes of Karl Rove with little risk of having to deliver anything of substance.

I respect John McCain as a man of superior character, it's unfortunate he threw in with a gang of confidence men and war criminals. All you have to do is stand McCain up next to Dick "5 deferments" Cheney and it is easy to see which one should be fed live to a pack of starving pit bulls.
