Yeah...well, they are competing against guy's whose cars are great and whose relevant lineup is better and whose brand name is golden.

I have owned cars by Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Mazda, AMC and Chrysler.

The best was Chrysler followed closely by Toyota. The worst was AMC followed closely by Mazda. Don't completely buy the Consumer Reports data, it is only mildly accurate.

I wouldn't buy a Japanese car anymore. I can get an American car that is as reliable, and especially more durable. (you don't get as many miles on those high revving fuel sippers) Besides the Japanese cars have gotten ugly of late. BTW you can get a very fuel efficient Caddy. Well built as well.
