Norm and Mkel,
I believe the heavy trading today was in response to United International Holdings (UIHIA) press release today. It stated that the Supercanal acquisition has closed already. If the deal with Tescorp is finalized as quickly, this would be a GREAT time to pick up almost an 8% guaranteed gain on your investment..........just for holding the shares until redemption for a month or so.

Your right...volume high...I reaqd your post and then spent the last 30 minutes running news releases etc. I found nothing to indicate the upturn in volume. It was obvious trading as the ask did not raise, and the stock closed down a little. It is a a good price to buy right now however its resistance to go higher may have some longer holding investors jumping off for other prospects. Just a guess.
