If you have patience on a several-year timeframe, I suspect gold will work out well.

For now, the dollar is bubbly-strong and long term Treasury rates continue to be bubbly-low. These irrational bubbles can continue much longer than anyone expects.

As long as it holds above the recent lows (675-ish) on this leg down, I'll be OK with it.
