A little puzzling ....XBD making new lows,,,but BKX is not...???

XBD is broker-dealers, BKX is straight-banks. The latter seem to have better access to TARP/Paulson/etc so I guess it makes some kind of sense. I think. Although admittedly, with the ongoing conversions to bank holding companies things are a bit...fuzzy... but the two indices still have largely non-overlapping components so far as I can tell.

GOOG just kissed $300 goodbye, at least for the moment. Getting close enough to stinky bids that the "do I really want this?" questions are starting to develop, LOL.
