You all are so quick to blame the unions. I blame the people who make the decisions in terms of design, production and technology.

Its not an either or thing. Both are to blame.

The unions impose a cost structure that's too high, and generally make things less flexible. That contributes to the problems with design, production etc., but even within the constraints imposed by the unions, the executives have made bad decisions.
