The photo ID requirement in Indiana did not prevent Obama from carrying the state for the first time since 1964.

Right, so all that democrat kicking a screaming about IDs being unfair for the poor was all just a bunch of crap.

I disagree about the states holding sway. Voting is one of the core functions that makes this country what it is and therefore IMO should be consistent in all states. If some states have verifiable ID voting rules and others don't, that just means the cheaters will all flock to the state where the system is open to corruption.
