Question: But you do agree that we need to care for our elders through SS and to provide health care for them, yes? You don't get it. "We" were never to provide health care or SS benefits for them. Even the New Deal and Great Society didn't provide for THAT. These things were to be paid for by the beneficiaries paying into the system in the form of withholding taxes. The problem is these programs turned out, after all these years, to be insufficiently funded. After only a few decades, these programs have bankrupted the country. There is no money to provide benefits for those of us who are approaching the age of being "elders". And there will be even less to pay benefits for younger people. Why can you not understand this? These liberal programs have bankrupted the country. There is no money. We can't pay the bills for these free benefits. It just isn't there. Do you get it? NO-MONEY. Broke. Bankrupt. Insolvent. No f*cking money. We're busted.
