Oh geez, you too are drinking the Kool-Aid ...

The demand for American cars will not go away. If GM and Ford collapse, they can rebuild. Sometimes that's the only way to fix a mess.

The suppliers can find new customers. At least those who can adapt.

My guess is that about half a million jobs might be affected ... max. That's going to be painful, but better than postponing the pain or propping up industries that are abject failures in their current form.
