I agree. All those splits and then the botched secondary offering were some of the reason I was so short back then.

I have always LOVED the product though, and I like the way management has handled things as of late.

I blame the Gardner Bros. for alot of IOMG's woes back then.
They took advantage of a new medium and hyped the hell out of it.

Things have changed greatly since then though. IOM is fast becoming a blue-chip tech company with all the credibility that accompanies that moniker.
The detractors from a year or so ago have become converts. Even Herb Greenburg is singing a new song.

I am as Bullish and Long IOM right now as I was short and bearish a year and a half ago.

BTW- I heard my first SYQT ad on the radio this a.m.
It was done well.
I think the removable storage area is plenty big enough for SYQT to do well depending on how they execute.
I don't believe they will hurt IOM one bit, NOT because IOM will crush them, but because the demand for removable storage is growing by leaps and bounds.
Seems like there's room enough for all.

<A split is the last thing Iomega needs to do right now. In fact, splits are to blame for the
debacle that IOM found itself in the past year and a half. When the stock price was
racing upward with a PE of well over 200, it was irresposible for Iomega management
to declare a split.>

A debacle? Not if you were long! If IOM wants to run up to a PE of well over 200 within the next few weeks I will be cheering again.

"A split is the last thing Iomega needs to do right now."

Rocky, check the water temperature in Hades, I do believe the place has frozen over. Are pigs flying around the farm? I thought it would not be until those two events happened that we would ever see eye-to-eye on something, but I couldn't agree more with your statement above! Let business take care of the stock price (and how this will happen may be where we diverge), don't mess around with it by a repeat of the Fiasco of '95.

To Iomega:

*******A split is the last thing Iomega needs to do right now.*****

Thats right Iomega! Just continue to keep your focus on beating the competition and meeting consumer needs. Your stock price will reflect your value and future value. You don't need to manipulate the stock price, just take care of your business and run it to win.
