I have a feeling that was one of those elitists. We should probably all be grateful such a superior being, magnaminious in victory, took the time to come yell at us about what terrible wretched beings we and everyone who thinks like us are. If I remember right, Sowell called those type of folks the "annointed", virtuous because they're enlightened (meaning they think/feel/say the correct things). Expressing contempt for the "benighted" (us and people like us) is important. Its how they demonstrate to themselves and their fellows that they are, in fact, the annointed and enlightened ones. Understand that and you understand angry liberals.
