He was always a beacon of sanity in the hurricane that was the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Damn fine drummer, too, although he was always overshadowed by Jimi.

For those who get VH1 classic, Classic Albums on now doing Electric Ladyland. Great interviews with Mitch Mitchell (as well as Steve Winwood, Jack Casady, Eddie Kramer and others).
