[edit] 2008 elections
As a result of the 2008 elections, the RGA will gain one seat in Puerto Rico due to the election of Luis Fortuno who defeated the Democratic incumbent, but will lose the open Republican seat in Missouri vacated by Matt Blunt, who declined to seek reelection.

you don't see any truth in that article? I do. I see how conflicted my own family is. 3 generations of my family will tell you they voted for McCain, but they don't think neither he nor Bush represent them. If a family like mine is dissatisfied with the Republican Party, I can guarantee you the GOP has some serious problems.
