TO ALL NOVELL employees in Utah---get your pens out

From John Markoff's column in the NYTimes:

"Senator Orin G. Hatch, the Republican from Utah who is chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he supported the Justice Department's action [concerning Microsoft] and would hold a hearing on Nov. 4 to 'explore anticompetitive practices in the software industry'."

Got any anticompetitive practices or just want to show your support---write your beloved Congressman!!!

===========================

Three cheers for CPQ which told the Justice Department that it had been threatened with excommunication from Pope William from Win95 if it choose to ship NSCP with its computers."

Its nice to see Pope William's arm twisting made public.

NOVL stock is holding quite well at the 50 day moving average. I see strong initial support at $$8 3/4 and strong resistance at $11 1/2.
(Secondary strong support at the $8 3/8 level).

The street has been fighting aggressivly to break the psychological $10 1/2 level and by the looks of the chart at: dbc.com we could break this level on the next leg of the rally.

The chart also indicates the 50 day MA flattening. If this line fails to turn up over the next couple of days, we could see NOVL at $8 1/8 - $8 3/8 in my opinion. That will the best Christmas gift from santa clause. The Jan 5 calls are in my opinion the safe and best buy. Longer term also good if the premiums you pay are low.

I think we will have a real winner on our hands if investors remain patient. We just need some more +'ve articles in lead magazines, aggressive marketing by the folks at NOVL and a "GET RID OF THE CORPORATE JET" sent to corporate HQ...wherever that is.
