Not so. When you add up the total amount of taxes the bottom half of Americans pay, it doesn't even measure up to the amount of taxes ExxonMobil pays.

You can argue that this is the result of the growing gap between rich and poor, but I'd argue that even more progressive taxes helps expand that gap, not shrink it.
