I know....but I hope Bush isn't the 'nice guy' this time....Obama has to know eventually what real work is.

If we bail out the Auto Companies, IMO it's just a matter of time till they go belly up anyway. If they declare bankruptcy, they will still be in business, hopefully the huge union excesses over the years will be a clean slate, and more work will come to them.

Heard tonight that GM has 247,000+ retirees to send checks to every month....

And I reminded hubby that that retirement amount didn't even begin to cover the paid medical insurance for all those people every month, to say nothing of all their current employees... To say nothing of all the other benefits the unions held the companies at hostage for....

There is NO way they can get "there" from "here"...without starting over.
